Warm Cheese Muffins


  • 2 cups wholemeal flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • 1/4 cup melted margarine
  • 2/3 cup grated low fat cheese


  1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Mix egg, milk and butter together and stir into flour just until moistened. Fold in cheese.
  2. Fill greased or paper lined muffin tray with mixture, do not overfill.
  3. Bake at 180c for 20-25 mins or until golden brown. Serve warm with a tomato relish.
