Sweet & Sour Pork Kebabs


  • 8 bamboo skewers
  • 750g diced pork
  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • 1 red capsicum, cut into 2cm pieces


  • 2 tablespoons sherry
  • 1 tablespoon reduced salt soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar


Soak skewers in water for 10 minutes, this stops them from burning. Make marinade by whisking all ingredients in a bowl, add pork pieces and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Drain pineapple. Thread pork, pineapple and capsicum alternately onto skewers. Grill on BBQ or under oven grill, turning often, for 10-12 minutes until cooked. Serve. Serves 4-6.
