Peanut Butter Bread


  • 2 cups whole-meal flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • Jam or marmalade, optional


  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add egg, milk and peanut butter, stir until just combined.
  2. Pour mixture into greased loaf tin.
  3. Bake at 160c for 50—60mins or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  4. Cool for 10mins before removing from tin. Serve with jam.
